Does what it's supposed to do

It does what it supposed to do,
Though when you also have saddlebags installed, the provided screws don't fit (too short).
The saddle bags have a metal bar in the way, so they won't get inbetween the rear wheel. This metal bar uses up 1/2in of space, and is the cause for the screws not to fit.

Don't forget to tighten the screws in the bacrest too, as they are in place, but not properly tightened!

The provided screws for rear fender mounting, have a tip that allow you to tighten luggage on the rear seat with carrier straps.

Not for a Honda Shadow Spirit 2008

I was able to salvage parts from an old Backrest from another bike to put this on. But the frame - the part that attaches to the bike doesn't line up with the holes on a 2008 Honda Spirit. That being said I do like the flames on the back plate and the chrome finish.
