Perfect Cruser Windshield

I just received my Windshield this afternoon and 15 minutes later I was riding my 2006 Honda Shadow VT600CD to test it out. It was properly packaged and double boxed. It came with plastic handlebar and mounting bar clamps. I was worried about that when I opened the box but after mounting the windshield I actually found them to be better than steel or aluminium clamps would have been. They don't mar the chrome and no worry about rust. The plastic material used provides high gripping strength without needing to over tighten the screws. After returning from my test ride I found the windshield had a tendency to vibrate slightly because only 2 mounting points are used on the handlebar. I slit a 5" length of clear 1/4" OD tubing and slipped it on the windshield where it curves for the headlight. I then loosened the clamps and pushed the windshield down on the headlight with the tubing providing a cushion for the headlight and windshield. This stopped that small vibration. It's not really required but just something I personally wanted to do. The handlebar clamps come with 7/8" tubular spacers so it will clamp to 7/8" handlebars. Leave them out and they attach perfectly to 1" handlebars. You'll need 4 tools to install this windshield. A 5mm Allen wrench, a 6mm Allen wrench, a 13mm wrench, and a 12mm wrench. You can substitute an adjustable (Crescent) wrench for the 13mm and 12mm wrenches. The measurement of the windshield from the headlight cut out in the windshield to the top is 17". 17 inches is what I needed and thought that would have been about right from the picture giving measurements. When installing the windshield leave the thin plastic protective sheeting on the windshield. After you have the windshield clamped down then you can remove it so you don't get fingerprints all over it. This windshield has multiple curves on it's surface that helps control airflow. This effects visibility through the outer side edges of the windshield. Visibili ty straight ahead is fine so if you need to duck your head down below it during a downpour you will be fine. I'm really happy with this windshield. When it needs to be replaced I'll order another one. For the cost of this windshield you could order a new one every Spring.

Smaller than it appears

It says it fits several motorcycles. It fits if u like small. U get what u pay for. I'm not pleased at all. Actually I'm very disappointed.

Good Windshield and cheap!

I installed this windshield on my 2004 Harley Sportster and it works and looks great! It is low profile, which I like. It could probably be 2" higher and that would be icing on the cake!

Installation was a breeze, even though it came with no manual or anything. Pretty self explanatory. Attached to my 1" handlebars and used the "tubing tip" that one of the other reviews suggested. Worked great.

Overall, you can't beat this windshield for this price!
